I bought a GPR 54 cal in the late summer, and of course love the hell out of it. One thing I would like to change however, are the sights. I really have trouble picking up my front sight, even though it's HUGE. I tried to put a dab of paint on the front of the wedge, but I still can't pick it up. I'm using the buckhorn that came on it for my rear sight right now. Would it help switching over to the other sight that came with it? Is the buckhorn sight the adjustable one (I believe) and the other one that came with the rifle the permanent one? It seems like other rifle brands will come with different (sometimes fiber optic) sights, and then have millions of aftermarket sights to choose between. Lyman I think has a set of sights for the GPR, but I don't know how good these are, or difficult to put on they would be. I do appreciate that they try to keep the GPR very authentic looking. But I would sacrifice a little in looks, if I could have sights that I enjoy shooting with more. Any thoughts for the Smoke Rookie here, would be greatly appreciated. I know I'm long winded as all get out. Should I just keep practicing with what I've got here or what?
Thanks in advance,
Brandon
