I added a 57GPR rear peep and left the stock post. I might go to a thinner post, haven't decided as of yet to do that. I needed some help because of the failing eyesight, buckhorn was to blurry to see. If you are familar with say a M1 Garand setup, gives the same sight picture. Post and target will get much clearer, your ability to see the target will increase. You will only be limited then by the load consistency and your actual ability. I would have rather not had to go this route, but I no real choice. I don't really need to be PC, or meet competition guidelines just wanted to hit what I was aiming at. But, if you need to go both ways the sight comes off easy enough. If you leave your buckhorn in place you can line the buckhorn against the sightline from the peep at a selected range and your pretty much right on.
