Paul Griffith, forum member "Shortstring", passed away last night from cancer. He is well known as a premier barrel maker, especially in chunk gun circles. He also holds the record for winning the most Alvin York matches. Please remember his family in your prayers.

I had met Paul on a few occasions at York and he was an inspirational shooter and great machinist. Have a barrel and several sets of his sights. He helped me so many times with my shooting and was just a great guy to talk with. He will be dearly missed.

I'm truly saddened to hear of his passing, Met him once and seemed like a good man!

He built my rifle. I visited him a few times while he was in the process. He had quite a workshop in his garage, and was quite talented with all the tools he used. He was also a very talented rifle maker, which is evident in the work he put into my rifle. It is all "dolled up" as he would put it with relief carving and inlays. I'm very sad to hear of his passing. I just crossed this thread by accident. He will surely be missed.
