This might be old news to some of you,
but Track of the wolf has great service. I placed a fair size order with them around $ 200.00 ( for me anyway) a little while ago, and the order was at my door 5 days later. Trust me when I say this is fast considering that I iive in the interior of Alaska and we have a foot of snow on the ground. They must of packaged my order and posted it the same day I ordered it.
The order also came with a nice printout of all items ordered and out of stock items and when I should receive the back ordered items. All the information was there so I did not have to call and ask where this or that was.
They have some nice stuff too. Two knives I ordered were the FT or small French knife and the Courer de Bois knife. Perfect as patch knives, antique look to them and made in the USA. Nice to see that now and then.
A company worth a look. In my opinion anyway.

in a sad world of outsourced, sweatshopped, mass produced plastic manure, it's really refreshing to deal with a company who answers their own phone, knows and uses the products they sell, and understands that you'd really rather be treated like a grown- up.

that's why, when i want to buy any ML stuff, i pick up their catalog. i go to Track preferrentially because of their customer service and their subject matter knowledge.

not saying that the're the only ones who do this ... you'll get great service from Pecatonica and from Jim Chambers, too!

next time you think that the whole retail world sux, grab the phone and buy something from one of these folks, just to remind yourself that there are retailers who are interested in something other than making a quick buck.

My ears didn't pick up a tirade.

I choose my vendors based on service rather than price. Price is meaningless if you don't get what you ordered or have to fight to get it.

Sell what you promise, when you promise it, be knowledgeable and courteous. You won't get rich perhaps, but you'll make friends and loyal customers. Sounds kinda like a moral life, doesn't it?

Spin the truth, mislead folks, short them, make them fight for every penny of their own money, and what are you? A lawyer, probably.

And back to the topic, yeah. TOW is great. I'm loyal to their great service.
 
If Track has what I need, they get my business because they have never done me wrong. :thumbsup:
 
I've only ordered from them once, and will definitely keep them at the top of the list in the future. I bought a few books and miscellaneous stuff. Funny that the most useful thing I ordered was their catalog!
 
I placed my first order with TOW early last week, the cool looking suede/fringe soft case. A nice fellow answered the phone, took my order asked if
there was anything else. No. So he said they would ship it soon. It came in a few days USPS-- I think that new fixed rate box arrangement. TOW got the job done. I like their service. David
 
The thing I like about track of the wolf is not only do they have good service but most of the time their product is cheaper than other places.
 
I buy all my gear from Track, it usually arrives within a week from the date of order. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Excellent service.

The "actual size" photo's of everything they can fit on the pages is REALLY helpfull.! The latest is color,
 
Also when you talk to somebody at TOW, they know what your talking about.
 
Been dealing with TOTW for nearly 20 years. The folks that work there know what they are talking about, actually, they are able to find out what YOU are talking about without making you feel like a dolt. They ship stuff out to you likkity-split, too. I've been quite satisfied with their products and service.
 
I placed an order with TOW a few weeks ago about 6:30am on a Wednesday before leaving for work with a brief note letting them know I needed the items quickly. When I returned, I saw had an email in my inbox since shortly before 10am giving me the tracking number of my order. I arrived home from work on that Friday to find the package (it was a small order) in my mailbox.

Additionally, everything was inexpensive, functioned well, and high quality.
 
It appears that I started this thread in the wrong place. My apologies for that,my life story. Wrong place at the wrong time.

Don't over look their custom guns. I've purchased a very nice left hand flintlock rifle, which has fired every time as it should. A target cap lock rifle and a super nice target underhammer rifle. They give you time to return a gun if for any reason you don't like it. All you are out is the return postage. On all of the rifles I've got from TOW they have all been just as described. A great place to purchase about anything a black powder shooter might need. :thumbsup:
 
Yep, they're great people and they stand behind what they sell. I've been a very happy customer for years.
 
I have to agree, all of my orders have been perfect. I keep the catalog next to my TV chair and browse through while "watching" the garbage that's on.

Yup, me too. I've had great service and have been real happy with their products. I did have to wait a long time once for a stock but they explained when I ordered it that it may be up to 4 months for that stock. Showed up about 3 months later. Can't complain about that.
