I'm gonna have to try a ground blind next year. There are very few trees bigenough around my hunting area that will hold a tree stand. Still hunting can be rewarding but it would be nice to try a new technique. I'll let you know what i come up with.

I like to build ground blinds here and there with whatever natural materials are at hand. Sometimes I find natural blinds all ready to go. Ditches, holes, deadfalls, bushes, etc. Even man-made stuff like old foundations and abandoned machinery. Then I can still hunt from blind to blind and sit for a while at one or several. :thumbsup:
 
Here's one of my ground blinds that I built some years ago. It's near a natural deer funnel and the deer are use to it because it's become a part of their invironment over the years. I've been thinking about building a roof over it for when it rains, but then the deer would have to get use to the change. :hmm:
