Burned some powder this morning. Found my gun likes 3 drams (82grs) Swiss 2F a bear greased fiber wad and a .715 ball in a .015 patch. I had to do some minor site adjustment but was shooting consistent 3" groups at 60 yards. Patches show a half moon cut but with the wad I don't think thats anything to worry about, at least it didn't seem so as all shots were on paper, no flyers. I tried two shots at 100 yard target for the heck of it and was surprised to have both within an inch of each other 4" low and 6" left of aim. I wasn't expecting that. Anyway I'm probably looking at a 25 to 40 yard shot on deer most likely so this thumper is definitely ready. Even with a new ding in her.
