Gun blanket templates or designs...

Anyone have access to gun blankets or templates. I would like to make a nice gun blanket for my Kibler Wood runner. If anyone has made thier own, i would love to see them to get some ideas, and inspiration behind the designs.. I am not period sensitive...so send away.

Ok, a basic sock is easy. Flint or cap lock?
Do you plan to hand stitch or machine? Honest question. Combination of?
Cotton lining is good, a wool outer. Leather establishment of tip and/or fringe is nice.
We can't really give an answer without some background of your truthful skill-set.

What kind of blanket do you intend to use? If you don't have one I have several HBs and Whitneys.
I've made a few scabbards and sleeves it's not a difficult project. I recommend putting a leather cap on the muzzle end to strengthen that part because it's the most subject to wear.

One of a kind. Less than $10 bucks from Goodwill. This was a ladies wool scarf, some yarn and liner from Joann Fabric.

I go dirt simple and cheap. Old jeans have pant legs. Cut them off. Open the seam lengthwise. Sew the legs together to make a long piece of material. Fold it over the gun inside out. Staple the fabric to hold it instead of pins. Sew it up on a sewing machine. Trim the seams. Turn it right side out. IT is not HC but it is stealthy. Any fabric should work out fine.
