Hi, I will be selling off quite a few rifles in the next few weeks to help settle my deceased friends estate. He had accumulated quite a few over the years, and built a lot as well. First up,
A half stock percussion in 50 cal.
7/8 streight barrel
Set trigger, the trigger has to be set before cocking the hammer.
Brass hardware and a poured pewter nose cap.
The ramrod thimbles appear to soldered to the steel under rib.
It also has a brass inlay where he may have went through the stock while drilling the ramrod channel.. or it may be faux.
I don’t know the maker of the barrel or the lock.
I’d guess it to weigh around 8lbs and is a tad nose heavy. The rifling is deep and the patches are clean when swabbed.
