:hmm:
I've got several T/C's (one 50cal since the early 70's) and none of them experience a delayed ignition regardless of what powder I shoot in them.
Some of the older T/C Barrels I have do have a slightly smaller flash channel in the bolster but also have a small threaded plug in the bolster (that originally came with a slotted end and I changed to a hex/allen head plug) that is easily removed so you can clean the flash channel with a pipe cleaner now and then without removing the nipple.
The newer T/C barrels do not have this threaded plug and have a slightly larger flash channel.
You still need to clean the nipple periodically with a nipple pick or paper clip etc.
Not sure what design flaw you are referring to.
But I am shooting mostly 3F granulation powders (Swiss, Goex, Black Mag'3, 777, APP, Pyrodex).
Perhaps the 3F is what makes the difference. Sometimes I shoot 2F but not that often.
