Ge, Fred, I don't know about that "Humble" stuff.
I was accused of having a Dutch Club Butt and I think I have solved a lot of that with bicycling in traffic and cutting down on the beer.

Thanks for the kind words.

I note you spelled my name correctly and that is a triumph for me.

Dutch

Happy Birthday Dutch. You aren't near old yet, keep working on it and thanks for all you have done for the shooters of muzzle stuffers. We appreciate your hard work and willingness to share.

People refer to my hard work.
There wasn't any.
I enjoyed every minute of it and that ain't hard work.

Convincing people who have had no success that there might just be a way, That's hard work.

A lot of people seem to have "good shooting" confused with "machismo" and suggesting improvements to them seems to them to be a criticism of their manhood.

If Percy Dovetonsils does it right he can outshoot Thor Ironpants all day long. Women, who tend to pay closer attention to details, can do spectacular things with a rifle.

Once you figure it all out, range work can become boring, That's when you begin coaching people who need help.

That's what happened to me. It's a great feeling to show someone with a "Useless" rifle that it can really perform.

They are the people who talked me into writing it up back in 1982. And that's how I met all you good people.

I'm a few days late on this post but I wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday as well.

You taught me a thing or two after reading your paper and I try to pass that on to fellow shooters whenever I can, but the best advice usually is said without words, just that bulls-eye punched out of the target is enough for them to start the conversation themselves.

Anyway, I hope you've got plenty more birthdays to come.

Also late in wishing you happy birthday, Dutch, and many more. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. If the measure of a man is in the lives he has touched, the mark he has left on others, the knowledge and passion he shares that will long outlive him, then you, sir, are a great man. Wishing you happiness and continued blessings.

Paul, we all love Dutch and he has touched our lives in a very special way. All the smiles he has put on our faces when we see with our own eyes how much better we become.

You have expressed yourself in a way that sums up what Dutch has done for each one us who followed his system. Your words are very respectful and gives Dutch the honor and also expresses our gratitude that we have for him.

Your words were powerful and well thought. I commend you for such beautiful post in honor of our friend and teacher, Dutch Shoultz. You spoke from your heart. Thankyou my friend. That was a very nice thing to say.

Respectfully, Cowboy

Uh oh my friend. You have misspelled Dutch's last name. I'll be surprised if he doesn't nail you on that. :haha:

I can't even give a compliment without screwing something up! :shake:

So sorry Dutch! My heart was in the right place!

Respectfully, Cowboy :hatsoff:

No worries Cowboy, Dutch understands. Heck, about 50% of the time his name is used on this forum alone, it's misspelled. Poor guys always having to correct somebody.

Will somebody tell me when the Birthday greetings stop and we back to Muzzleloading.
The constant reminders of my declining days are beginning to wear.

I will withdraw from the Forum till I am so notified.
I appreciate the intended thoughts bt feel we may be constipating the Forum into daily warnings that time is running out
