Harper’s ferry 1816 type 3 barrel markings

Does anyone know if the C4 on the bottom of this barrel means condemned? Gun is in great shape overall.

Probably just some random inspector’s stamp.

Not sure but what would make you think that? Have you seen something similar to that?

Call Jesse at the Rifle Shoppe, he has a lot of the original stamps and knows a lot about them.

The c4 also appears on the stock on top just to the left of the breach

Might it be an assembly number?
