Don't know who they ship with but that's like double of other online vendors.

Other online vendors like Midway, Dixie, Brownells, ect., are multimillion dollar companies that ship in large enough quantities, hundreds to thousands of packages per day, and they receive a discount from the shipping companies on their rates. For example, right now, Midway has their free shipping option on any order as long as it is $49 or more, including lead bullets and balls. The free shipping deal kind of works like a loss leader due to the fact they sell more than enough merchandise to where it offsets the free shipping that they do offer several times per month. The smaller companies can't compete with the big guys, especially when it comes to shipping. For a fact, FEDEX does charge the smaller companies $44 on each hazmat package they ship, last year it was $39. I know this because I have a small company that ships and receives both FEDEX as well as UPS hazmat packages, and we don't receive favorable treatment regarding shipping charges because we don't ship enough packages and have to pay the standard fee. Sometimes its hard to believe that some feel the smaller companies, some of who have been in business for 20 to 30 years are screwing their customers on shipping. Then again, I feel the same way at times when I pull up to the pump and the same station I was paying $2.89 gal for diesel 8 months ago is now charging $6.19.Just checked their website. Attention Customers:
ATTENTION: UPS is currently seizing and destroying firearms related packages. We HIGHLY recommend USPS at this time. We are waiting for clarification from UPS on how that affects muzzleloaders and parts. Accessories should be OK, but please order accordingly.
Also, We are constantly getting new shipments of products, but due to high demand certain items, such as revolvers, kits, rifles and some accessories are selling out within hours of arrival. If there is a specific item you are looking for, please e-mail us and we will be happy to put you on our contact list. Customers who do this will be informed the moment a certain item arrives.
For similar reasons, we are not taking backorders at this time.
Yes purchased an old ironside a few days ago. The price to ship the fuse was just that $23.50.Hazmat fee is set by the shipper. Grafs is currently $23.50 I believe.
In 2008 crude oil was near $150 a barrel and home fuel oil was 3.85 so why in March when just over $100 a barrel why was home heating oil $6.11 a gallon LoL so of all things Joe Biden has finally been right on something! My friends brother works for one of the oil companies and said his company is making a 25 % profit on every gallon today. Listen to these bone heads on the radio who like everyone else don’t have there facts straight and say these protroleum suppliers only make Pennies on the gallon. Don’t give them any ideas! What are caps? Nobody charges like that for shipping flints.
I'm just glad I have never had to get shipments such as that. I just go get it. I've lived in 4 different states and though it isn't a grocery store run, with planning is an easy trip to incorporate with other activities each year or so.I just bought 3 tins of musket caps and it amounted to around 30 bucks. Not too bad right? It's all fun and games until they hit you with a $65 HAZMAT FEE. Someone, please explain for the love of god why this is! Someone share my pain!
Fyi, I am the shipper, and the Hazmat Fee is set by FEDEX, not me. I have fought for a better rate for 3 years. I was being charged 39 hazmat last year then both fedexcand ups raised the rate to 44 on jan 1 this year. Im just a small shop trying to keep everyone supplied, i lose money on shipping on nearly every hazmat package. They don’t sounds so reputable. They crossed the Rubicon.
Some years ago I order some boxers(underwear) online. They started out back east, went along the south past Colorado up to Commiefornia, along up to Washington state, started heading along the north to Utah, North Dakota, went to Minnesota, down to Illinois, finally hit Denver, and a weeklater I got them!! That damned underwear traveled more states in this Country than I did at the time!! The only thing they didn't hit is Southeast Asia!!Yes purchased an old ironside a few days ago. The price to ship the fuse was just that $23.50.
Lol I had some bp on back order with Buffalo Arms their hasmat is very expensive but then I guess FedEx because they are the shpper fo there BP. They charge FedEx that is for thier incompetence . I got the tracking info earlier last week. Delivery scheduled for the 13th . Friday I get a change in delivery notification from FedEx. It is now arriving next week on the 18th. So I was curious i did one of those expanded tracks. I live on the east side of the country. Guess where my package is! Oregon! Lol this is not the first time FedEx has shipped stuff from the east coast and first stop was west coast LOL. Nothing I can do about it but pray it gets here and laugh.
I hear you. However, the smaller businesses don't get the breaks that the big box stores do. Fedex and UPS, set the hazmat fees. That being said, if the small business store does it's own shipping, they have to account for tape, boxes, and the shipping fee itself. Now some do set an awful high price for shipping, way beyond what actual shipping charges are. Like you, I avoid them also.A cpl wks ago I placed a powder order with Bruno's.........right up to when I saw what the SOB's were charging for shipping & Hazmat fees. I canceled my order & unsubscribed to their website. Theres " inflation " and theres " bendin ppl over the moss covered log ". The first one is hard enough to deal with, the second - is completely unacceptable & I won't play along.
