Just getting back into BP after getting my own land. I didn't have any place to shoot them because they are not legal on the public hunting land near me, shotgun or bow only. I have an Investar 50 cal 24" Hawken. I got it years ago cheap cleaned it up and it is a shooter. When we had a place to shoot it shot PRB, TC maxi, and even some sabots that I played with accurately. Used to really get my friends upset with their high dollar in-lines. Just picked up a TC Renegade 56 SB to go with it. The SB will allow me to go and hunt the public land for tree rats and be legal with a BP.

Welcome, from Elgin Okla. Wow! someone actually lives in Hydro :), I love to squirrel hunt would be interested in hearing what public land your squirrel hunting on, guessing around the Ft. Cobb area?? Family has a farm between Ft.Cobb an Carnegie but not enough woods on it to bother chasing bushy tails. Later

The answer is yes to Ft Cobb WMA. If you know where to go there are good squire and rabbit areas. Look for the oak groves, hint you can spot them using Google Earth once you know color of green to look for. Pulled a 130 P&Y out of there a few years during bow season. In the last couple of years hunting the increase has gotten bad.
