Howdy from S/E-PA. Just getting into the hobby and waiting on some back-ordered parts to start my first rifle build (early Dickert, .50 Cal.). In the mean time I have been collecting accoutrements, building Possibles Bags and other leather items, and working on my Lancaster County Screw-tip horn while I wait.

Welcome. New member myself. In chilly (36) north Florida now. Our family had a farm just outside of Coatesville. That’s where I found a PA long-rifle.

Howdy, Mr. McGuire,
Greetings from Texas!
Welcome to the Dark Side (Black Powder, that is).
You say that you're just getting into muzzleloading, but those leather pieces say that you've been leatherworking for a while! If your skill in woodworking is on par with your leatherworking, I expect we'll be seeing a really nice rifle! Make sure to post photos, for us less-skilled shooters to enjoy!
I was born in Schuylkill County back a few years ago, and I'm just learning about the Lehigh Valley rifles.
There's a lot to learn, and a lot of the folks here already know it, so just ask, and you'll get a whole bunch of good answers, and some irrelevant opinions, but that's how folks are!
