Hello rebs, I am a retired gunsmith and armourer from england I have many years experience in restoration and building firearms of all types so hope I can be of use to you, I have shot many types of muzzle loaders over the years. The only shooting I do now is prototype evaluation but If I mention those I might meet the same fate as Captain Furguson. I see from some of your comments that many of you knew Kit Ravenshire whow I trained with in the early days here in England, (your gain our loss)the world is now very short of such characters. Please note I am useless on computers, so this could end up in the Dustbin sorry Trashcan

Blimey! And welcome aboard. I think you will find our group informative and certainly opinionated.

Delighted to welcome you to the Forum!

Don't give up on your computer just yet, like many good things... a little adjustment time is sometimes necessary.

:hatsoff: Jolly good to have you.(I know, cliche) Welcome to the wild world of internet discussion. I'm certain you'll both learn something new, and be able to pass on your seemingly vast experience to those of us who could use a little help. By the way, I've traced my family roots to Swan Hall, Hawkedon, Suffolk, England. That anywhere near you?

About 14 miles away very nice place you'll need abou 4million pounds if you want to move back.

:rotf: :applause:  Wasn't planning on moving in, just thought I might visit one day. Doubt they'll remember me since I left in 1632. Do you know if they have a website or how I might get more info on the place? We might be told to make this a private topic since this is the introduction and we're not supposed to ask questions here.

Welcome John! I, for one, am looking forward to learning from your years of experience.
