Hello, I have been lurking for a couple of weeks now, but have finally decided to introduce myself, as I feel some questions coming on and didn't wish to be rude  .

My name is Darby,I am 21 and I am from Tyler Tx and my main era of interest is Buckskinning/Fur Trade.

My interest in muzzleloaders started when I was about 9-10 with Civil War reenacting. Got my first(and so far only) taste when I was about 11-12 and one of my dads friends who is in a Civil War Artillery group, let me be the "powder boy" for the opening shots of our local fair. Lost interest in my teens due to youthful angst and that dark period I like to call my "hippy" stage, which ended around 18 years old, when I realized I was old enough to own firearms

Anywho, if you are still reading, I look forward to asking as many questions as possible lol.

I plan on either building my first rifle(seems like it might be a Jim Chambers) or poking around the classifieds here for one. Just waiting on that stimulus check

Welcome on board. All my wife's relatives are from Texas and especially from the Tyler/Van area. Been there a number of times visiting her relatives. Just because you are from Texas, we won't hold that against you.

Welcome from Waxahachie! We'll try and get you to some place to shoot some day. But I'll warn you that it is much more addictive than anything else I've done!

Welcome Aboard. Pretty place ... Tyler. Our old dog run family farm is south of there between Grapeland and Elkart off an old dirt road you won't find on a map. Also have some relatives in Tyler.
