I just recently found this forum and myself am just getting into the sport of muzzleloading. I have been hunting with/shooting centerfire rifle and have gained interest in muzzleloading since purchasing a Thompson Center Encore. I look foward to getting out on the range and learning more about this historic shooting style.

Thanks

CJ

WELCOME to the best site on the web. I have a gun safe full of modern centerfire rifles that I dont use since the ML bug bit, you will find it much more satisfing using a ml. I went from inline to cap lock to flintlock and its a blast, enjoy.

Thank you all for the hardy welcome and I look foward to being a part of such a welcoming community. I am starting with an inline as I already have the frame for my rifle and it is a way to get my feet wet but from what I am hearing, it will not be long before a flint or percussion lock will be in my hands. I appreciate all the wonderful info and hope some day to share some of my own experiences.

Here in california we have humorous commercials saying "Good cheese comes from happy cows, and happy cows come from California" :rotf:

Never been there yet but seeing a happy cow would be interesting for sure. :v
