Hello! I just discovered this place last night- there is a lot of knowing, talented people and great info on this site! I hail from central WV, but I am currently in the Middle East for a bit. Can't wait to get home and burm some black powder. Been muzzle loading since 1975, but realize I still have a lot to learn!

Howdy, Leatherbark- I am from Sutton. And obviously I can't wait to get home and burN some powder! I find the more I am in this game the further back I go-started with caplocks, now I'm into flinters, soon it will be handgonnes!

Glad you found us and welcome to the MLF! There are lots of friendly knowlegable folks here on the site and always something to learn.

Greetings Towgunner, glad you found us.

Thanks for your service & keep up the good work. Keep yer eyes peeled and come home soon.

Thanks for the greetings- it is an honor to serve our great country- where, at least for now, one can still get a musket and powder delivered to the door! Not too many worries here, though- I am in the rear with the gear, so to speak! I see an army of young heroes passing through every day. It is inspiring. Be back soon!

Welcome Tim! Thank you for your service to our great nation. Wow!! Started shooting black powder at age 12; that's great. Hope to hear more from you soon.

Thanks, Mazo Kid! 'Tis a pleasure to serve. At age 11 wanted a BB gun so bad, but Mom said "You'll shoot birds." Of course, she was right! So I saved allowance for a year, and at age 12 rushed over to Dean's Jewelers and Pawn after school, plunked down my money, and walked out with a N.I.B. Investarms .50 cal Hawken. Took it home on the schoolbus- driver thought it was neat as could be! people probably figured I was abused, as my right cheek was usually black and blue for several years afterwards! I still love it- it gets in your blood! Still have that rifle- needs a new lock! Take care!

Hey Towgunner! I'm from Hurricane. Glad to have you with us. When you get back you'll have to come down to St. Albans and shoot at our range. Not too bad a drive. We have one member who drives from Covington, VA almost every month. Take care of yerself and thanks!
