I spoke to C.W. over the weekend, he says he will opening his shop, Reb's Trading Post back up as a side business because of increased interests in Black Powder Shooting..He also said that the guy who owned the land where the Aquilla Rendezvous use to be held has sold the land.
Trying something new, I am testing a Custom Built .50 caliber Flinter that hasn't seen any spark since the 80's, I picked it up over the weekend and spent most of the day cleaning all the crud out of the barrel left behind from someone who didn't know how to take care of a gun..
I'm anxious to shoot a little more to see how well this ole gun will shoot...I'm still a little new to the flint locks flinching at pan ingninton, but this gun is interesting, it has alot of carving on the cury maple stock and is topped with a green mountain barrel so it should be a very accurate shooter...
