just called NEI and they have a .515 round ball mold and 2 weeks delevery....I dont want to rap the ball starter just push it down to start the ball....I would adjust the patch accordingly... coul use jeans material has patch of pillow thicking. am I making a mistake...

Try the .525" from Rapine. That should work
just fine with .020" patches. Le Grand

Try Jeff Tanner he will make you any size mold you want and have it at your house in about a week from England. Less than $40 the last time I checked. You can find him with a search here. His molds are bronze and fit most handles although they don't have a sprue cutter.
Fox :hatsoff:

Buy odd size balls not moulds, until the proper sized ball is determined. You might end up with a lot of worthless moulds lying around.

Check out your last thread for more information.

just bought a RCBS .520 round ball molds.... my pedersoli mold cast balls at .537 and with patches of .008 I still have a hard time with the ball starter and on top the materiel is so so and the pillow thicking that I have found well I have the choice of .015 .018. .024 ... I tried the .015 did have hard time starting but at least the patch did not tear as for the .008 patch it tear all the time...

Why not adjust the patch accordingly with the balls from the mold you have?

I tried but with a .537 ball I was down to .008 patches and still it was hard to start and the materiel for these patches was so so .... had to give 4 5 good rap on the ball starter and the patches kept tearing up just by doing so immagine if I shoot this combination.... I found pillo thickng .015 .018 .022 so with this .520 mold I should be in biseness
