I have had good results making replacement sear springs by cold working the steel banding straps from pallets. You can "wrap" the banding around a heavy nail with channel locks a step at a time. It will cut with a file and can be cut with a fine hacksaw blade. There is a learning curve to working with it but the material is usually free so a few scrap parts as you learn are no problem.

I had Jeff Miller make me a new main spring for $55 bucks on an old dueling pistol.

Let me know if you need contact info.

I've removed the parts but half of the sear spring is missing wasn't in the stock someone else's hands had been in it before it came to me. Thanks.
