I was told that Canvac was not too be used on tents made of Sunvoyager canvas…

Does anyone know if this is correct or not?

BEST to check with one of the tent makers, Panther, Tentsmiths, etc
The reason would be that formulas change over time, and using X product with Y fabric treated with Z waterproofing in the past, may not be a good idea because of changes in formula, or something better has come along. The tent makers will know about the current products offered off the shelf, and what works to "refurbish" the old stuff. ;)

Vinegar n water. Works well and not harsh on the fabric like bleach. I would not use a strong bleach solution on the tent. I have used vinegar on fabrics (canvas n wool) boots, water shoes even a wool brimmed hat, and wood surfaces for mold/ mildew and it’s worked very well.
