As the title suggests, I'm looking for a case to transport a 60" Flintlock rifle to/from the range. I'd prefer to keep it under $100 if possible and am not really too concerned if it's period correct. I just want something to offer some decent bump and scratch protection. I see Kibler sells one to fit but I figured I'd ask here about alternative's first. Suggestions appreciated.

p.s. I'm guessing this has been addressed at some point in the past but my search has found very little so here I am.

Kibler offers a nice case for 70 bucks plus shipping. I'm very satisfied with mine.

I apologize I see that you know that.

Good to know somebody here has experience with the Kibler case... That said, a Longbow case?? Who would have thunk it! I have to take a look at those options.
RocketMan, the long bow case is a good idea. FYI the case that Kibler offers has a nice long zip up pocket/pouch that the long range rod will fit un also.

Thanks all, I think I'll go with the case from Kibler as I like the idea of being able to pack my range rod in the same case. I have to place a second order with him anyways as I forgot a few things in the kit order ( made near midnight :)) That said, I have a pair of 51" cal Kentucky style Percussion rifles that could also use some protection. I think I'll investigate some of the other options presented here for those two.

I don't think you'll find a hard case that's large enough. The soft case Kibler sells is sturdy and well-padded and I think would fit your needs adequately. I have one and I'm satisfied with it. My other flintlock long guns I store and transport in these blanket gun cases from Track of the Wolf, which are pretty cool and suit my needs, but are not quite so protective as the Kibler case:

I made my case from the shipping box
