Just to be clear there was no problem with the factory sights other than my old eyes unable to use them well anymore. The problem I'm am having is self-induced by deciding to put on peeps which I've found has helped my old eyes on my other rifles. The obvious solution is to simply put on a higher front sight. Worst case scenario is I just put the factory sights back on. I have other rifles with peeps that will work just fine.

I have the same old eyes issue and have replaced some of the sights with fiber optic sights they can be bought in sets or a piece at a time . They are great for me
