I keep reading to take a pillow ticking strip and put a ball on top of it and push it slightly below the muzzle then cut it. After I cut it how do you spit lubricate the patch?
You got the idea for the process backwards. :shocked2: Patch should be lubed before laying over the muzzle and putting ball on top.
Techniques vary but I lube large pieces of my cloth (pillow ticking) with a beeswax/oil mix and store in a plastic bag. For use I tear a strip apx 1 1/2" to 2" wide and use that for loading. Personally I do not use spit for shooting lube as it dries.
