Hi all I'm Mitchell, Mick for short. I’m an architect who now teaches at a community college. I have been into muzzleloading since the mid 70’s but have little touched the hobby for the past 15 years. I bought my first rifle when I was about 16, promising my mom that I'd not shot it (yeah right. . Shortly after that, I joined a Rev War reenactment unit and the rest is, as they say, history. After getting married and going back to college, I drifted from the hobby around 1990 but I’m hoping to get back into it now. To this end, I was totally delighted to find this forum.
I live part of the year in Charlotte, NC and part in New York City. I have a Brown Bess musket, a handmade TN mountain style flintlock rifle. Additionally, I inherited an original southern mt rifle that was passed down in my family and a Lyman Great plains rifle. After 22 years, I still have the same wonderful wife as well as a very fat cat named Pasha. I look forward to getting to know many of you guys.
