When we were planning range back-stops with the wildlife dept. for their shooting programs, somebody asked, "Why not put a couple round hay bales end to end and cover with dirt?" We were definitely over-thinking that one. Two round bales and a lot less dirt than if the berm was dirt alone. Especially economical if there's a late rain and they can't get as much for soaked bales.

Some places that would be illegal because stacks of old tires are mosquito breeding habitats. :shocked2:
I just put old tires behind my target stand to reclaim lead easier. Filled them with loose dirt. Should keep the skeeters out of them.


Don't let that get well known in your area. Where you live the aging hippies and dope heads will be there protesting in no time. Really. :shocked2:
