This horn was a fun one for me. It features a glued pinewood end stained in dark walnut with a diamond design out of small dowels on the top (hard to see in pictures. The drawer pull came off an antique dresser. Near the spout is a twisted staple which I’ve seen on some original horns, it doesn’t protrude into the horn cavity, it was pre drilled, glued and tapped in. I am not a scrimshaw artist like some here, but I wanted to do some small work to compliment the drawer pull and staple, I think it really added to the horn. The plug is held in place with 4 small wood dowels instead of nails. It features a fiddle per stopper, and strap is adjustable to your liking. The horn measure approximately 8” around in circumference, 12” from plug end to spout across the bottom flat and 10” from wood end to spout across the top flat.
