Big Bubba Daddy
32 Cal.
Hi All,
Years ago I did a decent size favor for a buddy and unexpectedly, and generously, he thanked me by way of passing on this long rifle.
Sadly it has been a safe queen as about the time he gave it to me kids came into the picture eating up my range time, plus I shoot lefty so right-hand pans flashing dead center of my face isn't the most pleasurable way to go!
I know little to nothing about the rifle:
What I'd like to know:
Cheers,
BBD

I know little to nothing about the rifle:
- It is .54 cal
- The barrel is 36"
- Overall length is 52 1/2"
- It has Chimney Point Rifle Works stamped on the top of the barrel
- I've tried looking CPRW up and have never come across any info
- It has 126 stamped on the side of the barrel located across from the lock position
- It is more accurate than I am ;-)
- The hair-trigger is the best I have ever come across, once set if I even think about firing...boom!
What I'd like to know:
- What style/type of long rifle is it? My very limited knowledge has me guessing Trade rifle but I would really like to know more about its design.
- Approximate age? Based on the sights alone I'm assuming it is a project rifle from somewhere between the 50's and early 80's, but I have no clue.
- What would be a monetary value range for it?
- Rifling twist but I can figure that one out on my own.
- Lastly, any general comments you can share on it.
Cheers,
BBD
