Here is a horn I am making now. It is a left hand curve, but with the double curve, it can be carried on either side with comfort. I put a walnut rounded plug, nothing fancy, in the base and a walnut turned spout plug. The base is coated with beeswax, then held in place with brass nails. I stepped down the throat and put some grailing at the transition. I thought of dying the throat, but it has some good coloring, so I think I'll leave it natural. It's 12" along the curve and 3" at the base. Black staples will hold the woven cloth strap. I plan on a complete covering with scrim using some of the Tansel horns artwork as models. Wish me luck.
