I read ( and listen to ) many different subjects here regarding building muzzleloading rifles and smoothbores and I must admit you're all gifted in many ways ( and patient too! ).

I'd like to build a longrifle and maybe will one day in the near future. I need to acquire a few "how to" books that have been referenced on one or two other threads here recently. I enjoy your discussions and willingness to assist each other. I wish some of you were here in the Midwest instead out East, but.........

Regards, Vic

The time on the ramrod channel and hole are about average.. the inletting the barrel was faster than normal the stock was nice to me. Normally it will take a few more hours, if not a days work to do both. :v I basically start with a router and stop inside my minimum depth and width (waist of the swamp). Then the rest is done with chisels and scrapers. Depending on how the grain runs or how chippy it wants to be can really slow things up. I have had two or three stocks come with the barrels inlet, but normally I inlet them. Practice helps :haha:
