First , some kind of disclaimer , I totally agree that loading
any muzzloader from a container is an unnecessary risk .
I do not know for certain if those are totally period correct
( never saw one found in a F&I war context )

but they look cool , are fun to make and make loading safer .
My point was : when pouring the powder in the measure ,
just notice that it always take the same time to pour the same amount . Unless one has absolutely no sense of rhythm ,
( yes it does happen ) one can learn to pour an exact amount of powder without using any measuring device ..... if you always use the same gun and the same container , of course .
