My, my, must have struck a nerve. Funny how a 24 word post could generate so much wind, I could sail across the pond on that one. All I had to say was:

"Quality custom makers worth their salt, turning out quality don't have to advertise. Most are backed up for up to a year or more."

Not at all, I'm just opinionated and longwinded sometimes :oops:; but the implication from that statement is usually that people who don't do things in such a manner (incredibly limited production, super high prices, long wait-lists) can't produce a decent arm. I am honestly baffled at the prices some are charging, considering I know what's involved; then again I realize that most aren't producing the quantity (intentionally or incidentally) needed to sell them at a reasonable price and pay for living expenses + put some money back in the business. That being said, advertising isn't just buying ad-space.

If there's enough of a concentration in your area of Muzzleloaders to sell enough guns to at a reasonable price to keep going (without "advertising"- ignoring the raffle prizes, business page, shows, ect), I'm happy for him :thumb:. In all seriousness, I'm happy he seems to be doing well either way.
