HOWDAH double barreled pistol

been thinking of buying a HOWDAH double barreled pistol from DGW.

is it safe to shoot one barrel with shot and the other with a .610 roundball?

I would think it would be fine. Im not sure, but I think that was the an accepted loading for a Howdah. Sure makes sense to me. Buck and ball for a few yards away and a heavy ball for when the tiger is coming up the side of the elephant. :shocked2:

Works fine - I shoot buck and ball, patched round ball, buck shot, and field shot in mine. Neat thing about a BP smooth bore is the options for loading. I keep the buck and ball loaded for home defense.

Shot in one barrel/PRB in the other is a great option.
