goldylocks,
was he alone i hope?? nice pic. thanks for sharing.
snake-eyes :peace: :)

I'm not all that good on small bears, but I'd be surprised if this one topped 150 pounds live weight, considering the height of the chair and those 5-gallon buckets. He's not all that long, either. Estimates will be affected by how dense that fur is. Picture a 150-pound man in a fur coat in the same setting, and you see where I'm coming from.

He's after your turtles Bob, and your deer!!!

Agggh!!!

oh yeah i know that....but those 5 gal cans are sitting on milk crates....and thats a 10 gal fish tank to the right....and those chairs are over 6' away...................bob

I'd haveto guess it would top 250 but not 300 lbs.It looks to have been eating good!Nice photo! :imo: :redthumb:

Bob1961, Is that a good thing or a bad thing when your marijuana plants dry up like that
That there beanie baby looks like it would be fun to snuggle on with your honey after you take the stuffings out. :haha:
It would appear the bear is on a second floor sunroom. Did it have to climb the stairs?

I can't believe that he climb the stairs and came up during the daytime. When he left, did he turn around and run down the stair or jump?

Looks pretty close to a 265 pounder a friend got a while back. Bears are really tough to guess on the weight.

Holy Smokes! That's an awful nice wooden bear feeder you built on the back of your house!

he almost slipped and rolled down the stairs on some ice we still had on the deck ...................bob

I'm guessing 250. Bears are very densely muscled.

Did he do any damage? Those bad boys are known for making an entrance into a place and making another door to leave.

Without the benefit of a better view of the ears, it's a bit tough. Appears to be as tall as the 5 gal pails at the shoulder, about 36" (12" for the crate, 24" for the pails???). Nose to tail would be about 4 1/2 widths of the chair (15" ea)would make him/her about 5 1/2'
That would put him/her at 4 1/2 years old, in good shape 200-225 pounds :imo: :results:

As Keith observed, bears are very densely muscled. They also don't come with handles! Having handled dozens and dozens, I'm going to say this bear is at least 250 and will probably push the 300# mark. Of course, their weight is proportionate to the distance you have to drag them. ::
