There's an ongoing discussion on this above under "Shooting Accessories" called "Possible To find a Possibles Bag". Some ideas already about Tandy kits and you can also modify leather bags/purses, depending on your likes and talent. Good luck.

HH: Get T.C. Albert's fine book, "Recreating the 18th Century Hunting Pouch." That and a couple of harness needles, some beeswax, some linen thread, a buckle or two and a couple of square feet of 3-4-ounce vegetable tanned cowhide and you will be good to go.

Send me a PM with your email address and I can send you a few patterns if that will help.

there was a pattern here on the site a while back ... I printed it out and made a nice bag, and #@&*!!! I can't find it ...

if you get Albert's book, and you should, there are some good patterns there - you can Xerox them and tweak them to your own needs.

Good luck with your project - let us see how it turns out!

That looks like one of the best kits around. Without seeing it firsthand I draw that conclusion from this clue: The kit includes 2 needles and thread, plus complete instructions. That tells me it's set up for saddle stitching, rather than relying on a few prepunched holes and a leather boot lace to hold it all together.

I'm betting results from the kit will be excellent.
