And given I am from East TN, I am thinking one of 2 eras:
1) RevWar long rifle, like the Overmountain Men would have carried to King's Mountain. I am a direct descendent of an Overmountain Man.
2) Early American long rifle, like what Col. Crockett would have used.
This will be a long-term project and I am just gathering info for now. Is there really any difference between what might be found in the Watauga Association and what would be found in the Crockett home in Lawrenceburg in 1821?
