Boomerang, that's a NICE looking weepon you have there. One of these days I'll have my 40 LR finished, and tree rats are on top of the list.
I'm thinking 15-20grs fffg should turn out the lights on any small critter; and wont blow the stuffing out of them.
OR, like Elmer Keith would say..."you eat right up to the bullet hole!"
 
I expect Indiana law requiring min .44 cal for deer be revisited. Presently a ML .44-.45 caliber Sabot loaded .357 bullet is considered legal. But the .40 cal RB is not. Where's the logic in that?
IDNR encourages public input annually regarding possible changes.

IDK, but the IDNR might look at energy figures. The 40 has a 93gr RB, where you can go with a 180 or 200gr .357.
Not saying a 40 rb won't get it done, i know of 2 deer dropped with a 410 shotgun slug,totally legal here in Texas, but some govt types would disapprove.
