Well I finally broke down and bought a 1836-42 Paterson Colt 36, 5 shot revolver.
A brand new NAVY ARMS still in the box with an original loading tool. I searched high and low trying to find a fair price Paterson pistol, nothing under $485 to $900. Then Buffalo Bills Shooting Store has them on sell for $249. Now my pre-1840's weapons are almost complete. HEE HAWWW I'm HAPPY!!!
My question is do any of you yahoos carry a 36 Paterson? and what do you think of them??

I have two of them...both cylinders reamed to .380 because the rifling is so deep. One is the nine inch barrel and the other with a 6 1/2"
and a loading lever. The first was so bad that a
friend remade the whole thing like they should have been made originally and added ivory grips.
The second one with the loading lever was made by
Uberti and needed no improving. They both shoot like a dream.
