I bought a powder horn from Track of the Wolf. I really like the horn and I would like to know more (anything really) about the maker. ToW couldn't/wouldn't give me any information. As I said, it's a great horn with very nice scrimshaw work and the only complaint is that the builder used an electrical staple on the bottom, even a common fence staple would have looked better ... oh well. Saw the same mark on some horns for sale at the hawken classic. The horns were for sale by the fellow who now owns powderhorns and more. He said a friend of his made them and I can not remember his friends name. He told me that he also makes horns for ToW. Try giving Gerry a call at powderhorns and more, he will have your answer.

Thank you, I'll give it a try.

Hello! Beautiful horn there! I just bought my first horn after jumping over from cap and ball to flintlocks, I bought mine from track of the wolf and it has the same marking! Paid about 225 for mine and I have to say I don't know much about horn making but I'm impressed this horn is gorgeous. It's smooth beautifully colored the engraving is sharp and the wood is beautifully made and colored and one I hooked it up to sling and put it on it fits me perfect.

The horn artist's name is Lance Gulden from Pennsylvania. He has other work at www.powderhornsandmore.com, run by a really nice fellow named Gerry Messmer.
Ain't Lance's work just beautiful. I've now purchased two and I always keep my eyes peeled for the next one!
