If it were me ...just starting out. I would buy your patches already pre-cut and pre-lubed. You can purchase them at most any gun shops, sporting goods stores or on the web. I would start out with .015 pre lubed patch and 70 grains of 777 powder. Then if your feeling more adventurous..then you can try the "real" Black powder and cut your own patches. Just remember: your patches have to be a consistant thickness to maintain accuracy.
