.22 cases for caps. The lead goes into the casting scrap. Aquila ,22,s $4.99 at cabelas 50 rounds.

Now that is interesting ! Are those CB caps, .22’s ?
Standard Aquila .22 Long Rifle. Heads off. Powder out. Dremel cutter one third top of the case. Wire cutter nipper inside case and rotate, Needle nose pliers to form the wings. tested on a Derringer W/Powder under the nipple. Ignites the powder.
 
be sure if you do this process that you wear a heavy glove or hold the case with a tool. they can go off from the heat of the cutter.

Yes, it is done safely. Or you could pinch it with a cutter and bend it off. Using a small punch to round the case back out.
