I just bought a new RMC in line capper to handle # 11 Remington percussion caps and I can not figure out why the percussion caps I put in tumble in the trough and end up in all sorts of different angles making the capper useless. There must be a simple answer for this but I don't get it. I asked the clerk if this capper would work for # 11 Remington caps and he said it would. There was nothing on the package to indicate what it would or would not work with. Any help would be appreciated. ::

Sounds like He sold You a capper for musket caps! :hmm:Where did You buy it? If it was wal-mart most of their help :: have no idea that there are differences in caps. Have You used a strightline capper before? It also may have gotten damaged, "sprung", cappers are some delicate. It should say on the pakage what size caps it's for. Take it back and tell the "clerk" to load it for You!! :redthumb:

I bought a capper from Wallyworld that was clearly marked as being for #11 caps. It was sealed, so no one switched things. I had the same thing happen. I took it back to them. I have decided that I want to get a Ted Cash type capper (pistol capper) but the price seems high. The straight line ones lost their lustre after that fiasco...

Well, I bought it at Dixons just outside of Kutztown, PA. These guys know their stuff and have never given me bad advise. This is also why I am having such a hard time figuring it out. Also -- the capper will not let musket type primers in through the feeding gate. Maybe I will just try another variety of capper, but this on cost $11.00. Back to the drawing board!!

You can't beat Ted Cash cappers. They're about $20 but you'll never have to buy another one.

Will the Ted Cash cappers work with revolvers? My capper seems to have worn out; it spits out a second cap everytime I use it.

If you ever need to find me just follow the trail of percussion caps. lol.
