Great score! The pawn shops around here seem to specialize in broken junk.

I have a Tasco scope on my 7 mm Mag centerfire rifle...never a problem in 25 years. I inherited a .50 Investarms /Cabelas Hawken from my Dad with a nice Redfield scope...I think I'll leave it that way as that was his hunting BP rifle, no scope on the .50 Pennylvania rifle and the .54 Sharps New Shiloh breech-loader.
 
Good deal! That's nothing like the pawn shop by my house. I went in there recently and there was a poorly put together CVA Philadelphia Derringer that wouldnt even hold at full cock. I thought it might be a cheap project I could fix up with my son so I asked the guy how much he wanted for it. He says "I could let it go for $280." :oops: I won't be going back there!
