Calling all gun builders...I need some help. What's the best way to inlett a swamped barrel into a blank? I've built 6 flinters, 2 from blanks, one was a straight barrel and the other was a octagon to round. I'm going to build a 54 flinter with a 38" swamped barrel. I have Peter Alexanders book and Dixon's book but both books have very little information on inletting a swamped barrel. Are there any shortcuts or pitfallls that I should know about? Any help before I start chopping will be greatly appreciated.
