Another thing on inletting; a lot of original rifles had a round bottom barrel inlet instead of matching the flats.
A friend inherited these round bedding tools, he had no use for them and gave them to me. I was planning to inlet the barrel of my TN bear pistol barrel with a round bottom using these but ran up on a deal on a barrel and stock blank with the barrel inletted by Mark Weider that was too good to pass up.
