Sitting on a shelf above my loading bench, at eye level, is a pair of RayBans with a small chunk of brass embedded in the left lens. This missile got there as the result of a slam fire in an M1 Garand, while using someone else's ammo.

I keep them there as a reminder.......

Many years ago when I was a teen I was firing my CVA Kentucky .45 at a maple tree for target practice when I heard a rustle through the grass next to me. The round ball had rebounded back from a distance of about 30 yards and landed just to the right of me about 6 feet away. :shocked2:
 
Some place on the U-tube I saw a fella shooting a 50 cal BMG at a steel target a couple hundred yards away if I remember correctly and a bullet rebounded and knocked his head set off! That my friends is a close shave! :rotf: Mike D.
