Okay am I crazy? I am looking at the Investarm Gemmer Hawkens on ML.com (the completed ones) and it seems the finish on the stocks between the flint ignition, and percussion ignition are different? The description both say "oiled finish European hardwood" but clearly in the pictures they are indeed different. Is there a reason for this? Or am I missing something? Caliber, and or the differing sides of the lock don't matter, just flint or percussion.

My 2023 investarm Bridger Hawken came with a Beech stock.

States European hardwood which could be walnut or Beech. You'd have to call them and get a direct answer.

Interesting, when I look up your rifle, it's kind of the same thing as well. Yea maybe I ought to give them a call and ask.
If you go to the Investarm website, there is a form there to ask a question. I used it this week to ask for the weight of a Santa Fe. I got a response the next day (and they actually weighed a rifle to assure their answer was accurate.) That rifle is 9.2# and ML.com showed it as 7.6#. That said, my research elsewhere indicated that Investarms used walnut stocks on some of their Hawkens a few years back before going to European Hardwood (aka beach). My guess is that one of the pictures on ML.com is of an older model and not representative of what would ship. I'd ask INVESTARM directly to see what they say.

This Santa Fe is 2024 production beech with a dark finish.
