I understand what you are saying and I think you looked to deeply into my post.the op said he wanted to know if .28 gauge was correct... I merely offered my insight. He wanted to go with 28ga...i went with 24ga. And have a reason why....im still new to black powder ...however I don't really see what I have backwards. In my post I never referenced balls to the pound. 28ga us smaller than 24....i merely stated that for my wants and needs.. A 24 ga was more appropriate than larger
 
Ok, then I misread your post. I thought you were recommending a 24 gauge because it was smaller than a 28 gauge.
