Howdy:
Is anyone here selling a few decently priced English flints that are suitable for a Traditions Hawken? I need about 4 for my Doctor's rifle. I use PayPal.
Thank you.

did you get the frizzen repaired/replaced ?
colimr:
Nope, not yet. But traditions sent me an email with the info. on it. They don't take PayPal, so I'm kinda' screwed for now, we don't use Credit Cards.
Steve (my Doctor) is dropping his rifle off tomorrow night for me to work on.
I wish I had a lock spring vise? I may have to buy one? I've used small vise grips (carefully) in the past, but that was always on my own rifle.
I'll get it all sorted out...eventually. Thank you.

Thanks pardner, but I hate to ever borrow anything! My policy has always been, if I can't afford to by it, then I can't afford to replace it.
Much appreciated though.

For my flints, I will always purchase them at Rhondy. Every year I always go to the same trader and ask to see ALL of his hundreds of flints in my sizes. I’ll go through them and pick out only the ones I want. Always try to keep a two or three year supply on hand. This way I know I’m getting good ones

I'm pretty sure that rifle uses 5/8 size flints. if you PM your mailing address I'll send you 5 at no cost to you.

I always try to pick up a couple of pounds from Ima get the French Amber then sell the balance on eBay at a reduced price that way my flints don't cost me anything

So question, IMA says musket flints. How do you get the smaller sizes or are they in the batches and you sort em out? Sorry two feathers to ask this in your thread. Do not really want to start another thread for this little question.

There are usually three sizes pistol rifle and musket all mixed together in equal proportions
